A New York native, Sarah was bound for the stage from childhood. Lovingly nicknamed "Sarah Bernhardt" by her parents for her dramatically explosive displays of emotion (sometimes referred to as tantrums), Sarah spent her childhood performing endless renditions of Kokomo by The Beach Boys with her younger sister. There's even a video out there of her dressed as a cowgirl, performing "I Got the Sun in the Morning" from Annie Get Your Gun for New York City Mayor David Dinkins at 8 years old. Oy.
Eventually Sarah went off to Dartmouth, where she truly began her journey as an actor. After studying a variety of theatrical styles and techniques in the States, England and Russia, Sarah landed back home in New York post-graduation and began working professionally. She eventually earned her MFA in Acting from the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University.
Favorite on-stage roles include Roberta in Danny & the Deep Blue Sea, Irina in Three Sisters, Diwata in Speech & Debate and Woman in Laughing Wild. Sarah continues to dance and sing professionally, although she has expanded beyond her childhood repertoire. She also plays guitar, cooks a mean breakfast, and can do trigonometry. Oh yes.
